Is the evolution of Thermoforming Technology in some way foreseeable?

Years ago it was very difficult to receive PET rolls with sheet thickness of 2,4 mm. During the Expo Plast 2012 WM Thermoforming Machines even had troubles to thermoform PET sheets of thickness 1,8 mm, as there wasn’t any European supplier able to extrude this sheet thickness.
CHINAPLAS 2017, which took place from May 16th to 19th, has confirmed the trend on Heavy Gauge, deep draw and High Speed thermoforming application.
